Samuli Örnströmer

Principal cellist in the Malmö Symphony Orchestra, teaches at the Malmö Academy of Music.

​Samuli Örnströmer is a versatile musician who works both as a cellist and conductor.

He received his education at the Sibelius Academy in Helsinki and later at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm. He has studied cello with, among others, Torleif Thedéen, Frans Helmerson, and Boris Pergamenschikow, as well as conducting with Jorma Panula.

He is currently the principal cellist of the Malmö Symphony Orchestra while also engaging in various other musical activities. In addition, he teaches at the Malmö Academy of Music.
