Ingemar Brantelid
Cellist

Ingemar Brantelid is educated at the Kgl. Danish Conservatory of Music. Then studies with William Pleeth and Ralph Kirschbaum in London.
After many years as solo cellist in Det Kgl. In the chapel, he now devotes himself to chamber music and teaching.
He has toured most of Europe with the chamber ensemble Salzburger Solisten and has also played in ensembles such as the Københavns Kammersolister, the Stadler Quintet, the Poseidon Quartet and the Copenhagen Classic String Sextet.
For the past 17 years, he has been a member of the Arild Quartet, which in these years plays all of Beethoven's string quartets.
He is also the artistic director of the Ekestad chamber music day in Sweden and the Glyptotek's Summer Concerts in Copenhagen.
