Who? You who are a university student, you who are thinking of becoming a professional musician or music teacher, or you who are an advanced amateur.

I love the cello…

The festival is designed to provide advanced students like you with unique opportunities to:

• Showcase your talent during solo and ensemble performances.

• Participate in masterclasses led by prominent cellists.

• Participate in workshops on advanced techniques and performance skills.

• Participate in the cello orchestra under the direction of Samuli Örnströmer.

• Listen to inspiring lectures on how to become a better colleague and musician.

• Network with other musicians who share your passion for the cello.

Schedule overview:

The advanced level cello program will include the following:

Friday afternoon:

• First Workshop: Workshops on how to better prepare for an audition, as well as techniques for the audition itself, led by Richard Krug, Toke Møldrup and Niels Ullner.

• Second work session: Join the Midi students for a cello orchestra rehearsal

• Evening: Enjoy dinner followed by a teacher's concert 8 Celli! in Skanör church.

  
  

Saturday:

• Morning: Three work sessions before lunch, including masterclasses and

  ensemble rehearsals.

• Afternoon: An AMA (Ask Me Anything) session with the teachers, followed by orchestra rehearsals.

• Evening: The student concert Framtidens Cellister in Stora Hammar church with student ensembles of varying sizes during the first half and the cello orchestra after the break.

Sunday morning:

• A sound check followed by a repeat of Saturday's concert, and then lunch, if desired.

Students are welcome to let us know if they would like to play in the master classes, which piece

they would like to perform in that case, and if they are interested in participating in a

chamber music ensemble. All requests will be considered, but please note

that allocations depend on the number of applicants and cannot be guaranteed.

Meals and tickets to Friday's concert, 8Celli!, are included.
