About the course
THE MINIS!
Who? You who are under 9 years old, and play Suzuki or "regular" cello. You do not need
be able to read music. Please tell us in the form which piece you played last! If you have
played Rigaudon (no. 13) in Suzuki book 1, you should sign up for the intermediate level.
Good music doesn't have to be complicated!
Our own children's expert, Cecilia Weissenrieder, will inspire your children to
combine concentration with play and curiosity to discover the joy of making music
Together.
Welcome on Saturday, June 14th!
10:00–12:00: Group lessons with games.
12:00–1:00 PM: Tips walk
13:00–14:00: Lunch break
2:00 PM–3:30 PM: Group practice with piano accompaniment.
15.30: Coffee break
4:00 PM: The day ends with our own Children's Concert.
After the concert, dinner will be served at 5:00 p.m. Don't miss the older students' concert in Stora
Hammar Church at 7:00 PM or their performance the following day in the school's large auditorium at 11:00 AM.
The mini-program is only on Saturday, but you are welcome to stroll around.
the school grounds throughout the festival and discover what's going on. There's everything
possible to see – from baroque cellos (what is that anyway?) and luthier work to
masterclasses, voice rehearsals, double bass sessions and our large cello orchestra.
Maybe our youngest cellists will be playing in the orchestra as early as next year!
Remember to bring:
Cello and strings.
Music stand (for those of you who read music).
Stool or chair at the right height.
Stacking board.
Parents of Minis are warmly welcome to participate! Please note that parents of children under 8 years of age
need to stay and help with both the cello and toilet visits.
