Fredrik Bock
After studying in Denmark and Germany, I have worked as a lutenist and guitarist in large parts of Europe. Based in Malmö and the Öresund region, I have been, and am, a permanent part of several ensembles and groups, including Barokksolistene (No) and Concerto Copenhagen (Dk). I want to have a strong focus on listening and communication with both fellow musicians and the audience. That through live music we can connect and get closer to each other. Under the direction of CoCo, I am part of a trio that has played concerts at hospitals and hospices in the Copenhagen area for the past 10 years. In addition to the theorbo, archlute and baroque guitar, which I often play, I have discovered
that the South American folk instrument charango is unusually well suited to baroque music. So I happily use it whenever I get the chance. AND I am an extremely proud father of 3 amazing girls!
I have also played concerts at venues such as the Royal Albert Hall, Shakespeare Globe, Musikverein, Carnegie Hall, Elbphilharmonie, Usher Hall and other concert halls around. Although I still think that the intimate meetings with the audience are the ones that feel the strongest.
