Individual lessons – a new opportunity at the festival
As a new feature at the festival this year, we are offering individual 30-minute lessons with our experienced educators. This complements the festival's other teaching methods and gives participants a chance for personal, focused work – based entirely on their own needs.
Unlike masterclasses, which are often held in front of an audience and where several participants learn together, these lessons are private and in-depth . Here there is time and peace to:
- work with technique and sound
- delve into a specific piece of music
- get help with practice strategies
- ask questions that may not fit into a larger context
Why individual lessons?
We know that every young musician develops in their own way. Half an hour of undivided attention can provide:
- greater security
- clearer direction in practice
- new inspiration and motivation
For many participants, this will be a valuable opportunity to stop, reflect and take the next step in their music making – in the midst of the festival's otherwise intense and social program.
A new and in-demand format
Individual lessons are a new format at the festival , developed in response to requests from both participants and educators. The goal is to create an even better balance between:
- community and interaction
- inspiration and immersion
- playfulness and concentration
The lessons are taught by the festival's professional teachers and are adapted to age, level and personal goals.
We are very pleased to be able to offer this new opportunity and believe that the individual lessons will become a valued and recurring feature of the festival in the future.
